Description

Develops company marketing plans and supporting sales activities for specific products or product lines including assessment of potential markets. Supports process to establish pricing strategies, develop budgets and monitor expenditures. Manages assigned market research needs for products or therapeutic areas within the organization. Provides brand direction, objectives and reviews questionnaires, and analyzes output from primary and secondary market research projects and creates an action plan using the data and monitors implementation. Ensures compliance to Brand labeling and strategy throughout the promotional mix. Provides marketing insight and direction to optimize new product launches. Analyzes data and makes strategic recommendations. Contributes to annual business plan and maximizes market potential. Interprets and translates scientific clinical data into commercial implications.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Develop and execute a marketing strategy and associated tactics for assigned Depomed product(s).
•Work with and directly manage business partners, such as advertising agencies to develop tactical plans and promotional tools that are consistent with brand strategies, within budget in a strategic and compliant manner that are easy for the field to use/deploy (if applicable) and will yield a positive return.
•Responsible for working with cross-functional team members (i.e. Medical, Regulatory, Promotion, Sales Operations, Corporate Leadership and Development (Sales Training) etc.) in the development of strategic and operational plans
•Identify and develop opportunities to communicate with our key customers through different channels.
•Support the development of forecasts and budgets
•Collaborate with other brand teams within Depomed to ensure team is aligned on priorities and ongoing projects
•Compliance with Depomed internal processes regarding legal, regulatory and financial policies and procedures
•Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of relevant therapeutic markets
•Lead and support initiatives to improve the teams processes and tools
•Manage and track brand promotional budgets

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s Degree Required; preferably in Marketing, Psychology, Life Sciences or other Business degree, with an advanced degree in Business or Science strongly preferred
•Minimum of 5 years of applicable pharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 2 years of product management experience
•Preferred experience in pain management specially on short acting and long acting opioids
•Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage complex processes and initiatives
•Experience and the desire to work within a fast-paced department is required
