As a Sr. Marketing Manager, Key Customer Team, Women’s Cancer in Gaithersburg, MD you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. North American Commercial is the ‘face’ of AstraZeneca and MedImmune to our many healthcare clients. They represent many of the most well recognized and respected products in the industry, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals.

AstraZeneca’s vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing six new cancer medicines to patients between 2013 and 2020. A broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused principally on four disease areas - breast, ovarian, lung and hematological cancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through four key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates, underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.

The Sr. Marketing Manager, Key Customer Team, Women’s Cancer is responsible for the strategy and tactical execution of Peer to Peer deliverables, Advisory Board content, and budget management for Lynparza and Faslodex.

The Sr. Marketing Manager, Key Customer Team, Women’s Cancer is responsible for building a franchise strategy around speaker programs, including identification of speakers for both promotional and unbranded content, and management of speaker bureaus for Lynparza and Faslodex in multiple indications. Developing robust marketing briefs for all peer to peer assets/programs. Execution of all peer to peer education tactics: GPO, Podium, and Virtual programming. AZAP alignment and review for all promotional assets. Development of any necessary training, guidance materials, or communications required for execution. Manage Advisory board vendors, content creation and approval, and budget. Lead development of content for peer to peer education programs ensuring consistency with both unbranded and branded strategies.

Additionally, the Sr. Marketing Manager, Key Customer Team, Women’s Cancer is responsible for managing vendors and agencies related to peer to peer and advisory board activities. Collaborating with other functional areas to ensure promotional consistency and legal/regulatory compliance of all marketing materials. Learning and utilizing all promotional processes and tools, including budget management for individual promotions budgets. Evaluate performance of promotional programs based on findings of test markets, pilots, or models in partnership with brand Insight; assess investment viability of programs and formulate recommendations on future plans. Participating in cross-functional teams to deliver successful launches.



  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • 5 years of pharmaceutical or related experience
  • 5+ years multi-channel marketing and/or consumer promotions experience, digital marketing and/or sales experience
  • Exhibit high capability at working collaboratively, thinking strategically, and juggling multiple priorities


  • MBA in relevant field
  • Experience working with a collaboration/external partner
  • Experience working in agency setting (digital and/or HCP promotions)
  • Experience in HCP, Managed Markets, Insights roles
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Oncology or specialty care experience
