SlipChip Corporation is building a world-class molecular diagnostics platform that leverages our proprietary technology to enable rapid, sample to answer diagnostic testing across a wide range of healthcare environments. Our focus is on empowering a wide range of clinical settings with high impact measurements, many of which currently require the capability of “high complexity” laboratories found in larger hospitals and centralized testing facilities. Job Description
The successful candidate will join the Product Development team and oversee SW definition and third party vendor management, and participate in SW architecture development.


Starting with User needs, Product requirements, and Regulatory constraints, the Sr Software Engineer will develop testable, traceable, and complete software requirements and specifications.
Oversee the activities of external software engineering teams, including source control, code review, unit testing, documentation, and Agile/Scrum and Backlog tracking.
Work closely with the stakeholders at SlipChip, as well as 3rd party UI/UX designers and software engineers, to ensure internal and external software development activities are aligned with the Product goals and timeline.
Collaborate in the design and development of software architecture and infrastructure.
Participate in software and product risk analysis and risk mitigation.
Ensure software development best practices are applied.
Provide dashboard, reports, and visual tools to ensure visibility of the software development progress.

Requirements


B.S. OR M.S. in Computer Science or other technical field, plus 5+ years industry experience.
Very familiar with developing and organizing User stories and requirements to properly guide software development teams.
Very familiar with software development lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience in software development tools and technologies, web-based application frameworks and languages, and relational databases.
Experience in software testing, validation, and documentation.
Familiarity with software architecture design tools and UML.
Familiarity with release management process and tools.
Desirables:
Test Scripting
Familiar with IVD SW development and healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., IEC62304)
Familiarity with JIRA
Experience in building informatics infrastructure and virtual environments
