Description

* Database Support (Installation, Maintenance and Monitoring) for Relational Databases (Oracle, MS SQL,  and Access) which host Critical business Application.

* Coordinate Application support with other IT functions such as networking.

* Understands complex business processes and develops alternatives for process improvement.

* Leads the configuration or development efforts of enterprise applications to fulfill customer requirements.

* Works directly with program managers in the delivery of IT application services.

* Provides exceptional database logical and physical design skills, specifically with Oracle.

* Helps senior members develop and maintain programming standards for enterprise applications.

* Provides post implementation support for all locally host applications.

* Leads system integration/solution efforts across the organization through expertise in multiple disciplines.

* Integrates and leverages company policies, standards and solutions to ensure compliance.

* Works closely with Business Solution Engineers to determine how technology might assist in addressing business problems.

* Strong experience in architecting and documenting solutions in accordance to project methodology.

* Technical Risk Management - Identification and mitigation of technical program / project risks.

* Configuration Management #8211; Managing the state of solution elements at any point in time and the orderly control of any changes to this state.

* System Validation and Qualification #8211; Determination of the testing strategy appropriate to the nature and specifics of the program/project(s).

* System Deployment #8211; Determination of the deployment strategy appropriate to the program/project(s).

* Act as a high-level SME in for all application and programing matters.

* Evaluate impacts of new releases, develop test plans and implement into production environment.

* Strong scripting skills including UNIX shell, Perl, InfoPath and batch.

* Willingness to work after hours including weekends as needed.

* Demonstrates great follow up and customer service skills as well as strong project management, and relationship management skills.

Requirements

Education:

* BA/BS from an Accredited Institution, required.

* Post Graduate Degree from an Accredited Institution, preferred.

* MCDBA,  MCITP, Oracle Database, preferred.

Experience:

* 5-8 years of related experience in support and troubleshooting of databases, 10 years of experience in application support and troubleshooting, required.

* 8+ years of related experience in support and troubleshooting of databases, 10+ years of experience in application support and troubleshooting, preferred.
Other Qualifications:

* Experience with SQL and Oracle

* Experience with ticketing systems

* Experience with HPSM and change management

* Must have good project management skills

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Good understanding of server performance and monitoring skills
