We are currently seeking to add a Senior Vice President of Consulting Sales to our team. ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WITH LIFE SCIENCE CONSULTING EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED.

The role will be responsible for managing our outside sales team, which handles the sales process for high-value RA/QA consulting and training engagements to medical device and IVD manufacturers. The outside sales team is currently comprised of three VPs; we will add a fourth team member in January 2018.

Business Development

In this role, you will:

•   Manage the outside sales team, leading each member to meet or exceed their objectives and targets.
•   Develop and oversee the execution of strategic account strategies for current clients and target clients.
•   Oversee the management of all phases of the business development cycle to support team members to successfully close, including opportunity development, proposal development, project scoping, client presentations, negotiation, and close.
•   Work with technical leads to identify and support new product offerings by monitoring regulatory trends, market trends, and customer needs.
•   Work with CEO and Technical Team to manage pricing models.
•   Work with Marketing for consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
•   Work with VP of Seminar Sales, who oversees the marketing of our public training offerings. Coordination between her team and the outside sales team is a critical element for success, as opportunities tend to flow out of one channel to the other.


•   Ensure that the team’s use of CRM is optimized and supports the sales process (e.g., Salesforce, and Financial Force PSA).
•   Identify opportunities for system optimization in the sales cycle; work with internal technology and IT resources to design and implement those opportunities.
•   Leverage CRM to generate revenue.


•   The SVP of Consulting Sales is a member of the company’s Management Team.
•   This position will assume an active leadership role in maintaining relationships with the firm’s affiliate



The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a sales organization that sells services or products sold to the medical device market. Experience with complex consulting solutions is considered a plus. The candidate must have a consistent history of hitting and exceeding sales targets. ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WITH LIFE SCIENCE CONSULTING EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED.

•   Experience with a management consulting firm selling to the medical device sector.
•   Experience in promoting products at the C level and delivering boardroom presentations.
•   Sales experience with quality, regulatory, and process improvement solutions is preferred.
