Job Description

- We are seeking a DMPK scientist or senior scientist to design and perform quantitative and qualitative bioanalysis methods using LC-MS/MS to support PK and metabolism preclinical studies.
- The company is a well-funded SF Bay Area-based pharma startup focused on small molecule drug research and development.
- The role requires several years of pharmaceutical industry DMPK-focused experience and will afford the right candidate opportunities to interact daily with diverse scientific disciplines, to have a strategic voice in the direction of projects, to contribute and build upon technical and leadership skills, and also to gain broader exposure to the drug development pathway.
- Excellent fit for a self-driven DMPK bioanalytical scientist and good communicator with the motivation, technical expertise, productivity, and confidence to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative, interdisciplinary work environment.


- PhD in PK, Small Molecule Drug Metabolism, chemistry, biochemistry or other relevant scientific discipline and advanced skills in DMPK with 2 to 6 years of DMPK-focused pharmaceutical industry experience in a small molecule-focused drug development company. [Note: PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE is a must.]
- Expertise using LC-MS/MS methods for PK and ADME small molecule drug bioanalytical studies including the following decision-making skills: a.) hands-on strategic design and execution of LC/MS/MS-based quantitative and qualitative bioanalysis methods and b.) the ability to generate, compile, analyze, and present accurate study results to support PK and drug metabolism in vitro and in vivo small-molecule drug and metabolite preclinical studies.
