Amgen is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Senior Scientist in the Clinical Pharmacology, Modeling and Simulation (CPMS) Department.
The Senior Scientist will serve as a PK/PD analyst and Pharmacometrican to support Amgen Development and Discovery programs across Therapeutic Areas. The Senior Scientist will participate on cross-functional compound development project teams and will be responsible for the application of modeling and simulation (M&S) to characterize PK/PD for small and large molecules.
Responsible for hands-on PK/PD analyses and simulations, report writing, and participate in the summary documents for regulatory submissions.
Doctorate degree and 2 years PK/PD experience OR
Master's degree and 5 years of PK/PD experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of PK/PD experience
PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or related fields with equivalent professional degrees (e.g. MD, PharmD) and 3+ years of experience in the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Industry, consulting or post-doctoral training
Expertise in PK/PD modeling and population-based analyses/simulations with established track-record records of model-based drug development
Experience in supporting preclinical/clinical PK, PK/PD, and modeling & simulation components of regulatory documentations
Excellent interpersonal, technical, and communication skills to lead cross-functional teams
Demonstrated experience with modeling and simulation software (e.g. NONMEM, SAS, S-Plus, R, Phoenix, MATLAB and / or Clinical Trial Simulator)
Previous record of scientific contributions through peer-reviewed articles and external presentations
