We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to develop and implement cell based, analytical, bioanalytical, and immunologic assays. These assays include FACs binding, affinity, internalization, ELISAs, PK/TK, immunogenicity and immune cell functional assays. In addition to a hands-on role in developing assays, the candidate will participate in the management, transfer and validation of GLP assays at CROs. The successful candidate will be a key member of the research and imaging development teams and is expected to have excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt to rapid changes in project priorities and meet aggressive timelines. The individual should possess strong data analysis and project reporting skills, enjoy working in a team setting and be able to effectively interact with internal scientists and external collaborators.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
•Develop and optimize ELISA assays for antibody fragment detection and binding
•Develop and optimize cell based FACS assays for affinity, receptor quantitation and internalization
•Develop and qualify ELISA or FACs assays to support the optimization of purification processes during their development phase and for Quality Control of imaging reagents
•Conduct and analyze cytokine assays using a Luminex based platform
•Develop and qualify platforms for antibody fragment PK and immunogenicity assays and oversee assay transfer to CROs
•Develop novel target specific immune cell functional assays
•Manage in-house assay requests, including performing assays and preparing and communicating the results to internal and external collaborators
•Initiate and champion new technologies, analyze and interpret data and present the results at company meetings
•Write reports and prepare scientific presentations as needed. Write SOPs and technical reports.

PhD in Immunology, Cell biology or a related field and 7-10 years of experience preferably in an industrial setting. The successful candidate will have direct hands-on experience in the development of functional and immunoassays and managerial experience in areas related to biotechnology
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
•Thorough understanding and hands-on experience in developing a variety of analytical and cell based assays; experience with immune cell activation assays is highly desirable
•Demonstrated competency in cell biology including the culture of established mammalian and primary immune cells. Experience with hybridomas is highly desirable
•Direct experience in assay qualification and validation and familiarity with the relevant GLP regulatory guidance is highly desirable
•Prior experience interfacing and providing scientific support to outside collaborators, vendors and CROs is desirable but not necessary
•Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and to proactively manage changes in project plans promptly and efficiently.
