Senior Scientist/Oncology Bioscience

We are seeking a motivated lab based Senior Scientist with a strong cancer cell biology background and experience in cancer related drug discovery. As a Senior Scientist, you will become an integral member of an oncology bioscience team focused on the discovery and delivery of novel anti-cancer therapies from early discovery through clinical development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independent design and delivery of high quality, validated medium to high throughput in vitro cell assays suitable for supporting compound screening and selection
  • Development and execution of a broad variety of cell assays for oncology portfolio projects to support compound selection and clinical development
  • Analysis, interpretation and presentation of data
  • Maintenance of clear records of experimental work
  • Scientific input into broader bioscience plans and timelines
  • Mentoring/supervision/training of more junior lab based scientists

Qualifications/Competencies/Behaviors

  • MS with a minimum of 5 years related oncology experience in Biopharma setting; a PhD is not a requirement
  • Demonstrated expertise in oncology cell assay development and screening in technical areas including, but not limited to, flow cytometry, high content biology, reporter, ELISA, western blotting, proliferation, apoptosis and 3D assays
  • Experience with successfully generating stable cell lines, deriving clones and characterizing for functional expression
  • Familiarity with independently designing, executing and analyzing in vitro combination experiments
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and tools
  • Ability to work in a matrixed team-oriented environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Delivery focused
