SENIOR SCIENTIST, MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Medicinal Chemistry group. Candidate will design and execute multi-step synthesis to prepare novel nucleosides and incorporate them into oligonucleotides using standard automated solid-phase chemistry, and will perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

•Possess a Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal/Nucleic acid Chemistry
•Possess 0-5 years post-doctoral experience in academia or industry
•Experience with automated lab equipment
•A track record of scientific productivity as evidenced by high quality publications and/or patents
•An ability to plan and execute multi-step synthesis
•Be experienced in modern chromatographic and analytical techniques like TLC, column chromatography, HPLC and NMR to purify and characterize organic compounds
•Knowledge of nucleoside/oligonucleotide synthesis is a plus
•An ability to be productive and successful in an intense work environment
