Description

This person must have a strong electrical and controls background for electrical systems. The person for this position will be the site expert on all electrical systems and must understand how electrical systems work because they will be point of contact for all electrical issues at the site. They will manage and direct on-site electrical contractors. This person must be able to troubleshoot issues with electrical and control systems. Control knowledge includes how the systems work and interact with other systems. This person will manage electrical systems and associated controls for 34.5 KV, 4.160 KV, and 480 V as well as low voltage electrical systems.

This person will have responsibility to work with an engineering draftsman to maintain site electrical drawings. Will oversee and review all changes to the site electrical systems and work with corporate engineering groups for capital projects requiring changes to the electrical systems.
This person must have understanding Arch Flash Safety and will train electrical personnel on safety procedures.

Requirements

Position:
At least 7 years of experience with electrical systems.
This person must have a working knowledge for operation and maintenance of medium voltage switch gear, power distribution panels, and circuit breaker panels. This person must be able to troubleshoot electrical motors of various types, troubleshoot and configure VFDs. Knowledge of PLCs is required for the control and monitoring of the electrical system. This person must be able to operate the BMS (Building Management system) to monitor power usage in the building.
Education:
Minimum of a BS degree in Engineering (preferred Electrical Engineering).
