The Senior Manager Market Planning plays a key role within the commercial organization focused on supporting marketed products and development programs. He/she participates commercial planning and market preparation activities by providing objective, in-depth information on current and future markets, customers and competitors. The Senior Manager Market Planning identifies critical business issues and opportunities for growth, collaborates with commercial/cross-functional teams, and helps drive strategies to set the directin for the products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate with commercial managers to develop appropriate commercial strategies for products/markets.
• Pipeline marketing - liaise with other core team members to support team activities and strategy developemnt. Provide evaluation of market opportunities, and plan and lead appropriate market development activities
• Evaluate the market landscape, monitor changes and predict trends in market dynamics and competition
• Develop and maintain quantitative patient-based revenue models for marketed products and development stage programs.
• Support product marketing teams as required by designing and executing market research projects and leveraging secondary data.
• As needed, support business development efforts by serving as a direct commercial interface and providing evaluation of market opportunities.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

Bachelors, preferably in life sciences or economics
MBA, strongly preferred
MPH or PhD in life sciences a plus

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years in pharmaceutical commercial role
• Management/ strategic consulting, marketing, patient-based forecasting and market research experiences strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration and analytical skills are required

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience working in orphan or specialty markets
• U.S. and international experience
