DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Enterprise Solutions & Business Operations is responsible for providing effective and innovative business and IS solutions to support GCD&MA, R&D, SMBD and core Administrative functions toward the success of product development and commercialization of Santens pipeline to achieve Vision2020.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position reports to the head of Enterprise Solutions & Business Operations and is responsible for the design, management and daily operations of Santens infrastructure systems. Successful candidate will lead a team of both internal and outsourced resources to support IT systems, drive the completion of IT projects, lead business continuity efforts, ensure IT governance and act as the global IT infrastructure representative interface between Japan and EU.
MAJOR DUTIES OF POSITION:
Ensure uninterrupted access and availability for the companys applications and systems.
Design and support a reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure based on best practices, industry standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.
Influence IT infrastructure decisions at a global level including; policies, procedures, technologies, architecture and methodologies.
Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget reviews.
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives related to area of responsibility.
Develop and implement relevant IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Work with Head of ESBO and stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
Oversee the monitoring and diagnosing of network and hardware problems.
Ensure the highest standards of network security including ownership of compliance efforts and documentation.
Develop maintenance schedules for network and systems equipment.
Manage good governance of key IT assets providing support for all business divisions.
Partner effectively with IT teams and managers in the company ensuring that Infrastructure needs are met.
Asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
Oversee all reports and documentation related to network and systems operations.
Budgeting, procurement, and strategic vendor management for infrastructure services including systems, data center, bandwidth, and adjunct services.
Ensure that the business environment meets business continuity standards, disaster recovery practices and continuous uninterrupted operations.
Ensure Regulatory compliance including; CSV, retention and security policies
Supervisory and Leadership Responsibilities: This position has leadership responsibilities for managing a strong diverse team across many areas.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience
Minimum of 5 years of infrastructure support experience
Minimum of 3 years of management experience
Demonstrable process/project management skills, with ability to manage and implement technologies rapidly and effectively
Knowledge of and experience working with Active Directory, Microsoft SCCM, desktop & network security as well as best practice tools for PC images, patching, and application deployment support
Significant network engineering background at Layers 1-3 including physical, switching, routing, the support of multiple data-centers, LAN, WAN, VOIP and SIP.
Strong experience with Enterprise Monitoring systems and strong Windows systems administration background.
Expertise with basic services like DNS, Active Directory, backups, storage, security, monitoring, and remote management solutions.
Knowledge of SQL Scripting and SQL Server DBs knowledge
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange
Experience with virtualization solutions such as VMware
Experience with SharePoint
Familiarity with Firewalls, IDS/IDP and WAF
Proven track record of the delivery of infrastructure projects that improve or enhance productivity.
Strong understanding of operations and maintenance of the network, servers, web services, storage, backend database server performance and all associated hardware and software
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field
Prior experience in GxP FDA-regulated environment
ITIL Certification
