As a Senior Manager, Building Operations in Longmont, CO, you’ll play a pivotal role in channelling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.

   Main Duties and Responsibilities  

   You will manage the Building Operations section of Engineering Operations in support of facilities, utilities, lab, and warehouse maintenance ensuring timely, technologically efficient support while minimizing downtime to equipment on the site.  Technical responsibilities include facility, utility, lab, and warehouse engineering support to the site as well as new capital construction/installation activities needed for new processes and products.  You will directly manage a technician crew and support staff responsible for the proper maintenance and operations of facility systems, utility infrastructure, lab and warehouse.  Manage site contracted utility operations staff through contract adherence and scope controls.  Coordinate outside specialized contract support for related projects.  Develop and manage the site utility budget(s).  

   Develop and Implement equipment startup and sequence of operations for facility and utility related assets.  Develop, communicate, and manage Building Operations financials.  Hire and schedule resources to ensure support of a 24/7 warehouse / lab operation.  Responsible for daily and weekly work order schedules developed, communicated, and tracked.  Provide oversight and technical guidance for maintenance and operations of facility and utility assets.  Resolve technical issues and develop preventive/predictive practices.  Interact with regulatory agencies during inspections to speak to building operations program and questions related to maintenance practices and data integrity.  Implement/maintain governing cGMP procedures.  Ensure training of employees and contractors to assure up-to-date knowledge of practices and procedures.  

   You will independently plan, design, and execute projects that are complex and scientifically demanding. You will be expected to work independently or in collaboration with others. Excellent written communication skills are essential.  




   Essential Requirements    
  •      Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological sciences, physical sciences, or equivalent focus of study    
  •      Fifteen years’ experience in a cGMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing and lab setting    
  •      Working knowledge and application of industry standards, safety, quality, and regulatory concepts    
  •      Able to effectively lead and instruct staff in order to accomplish work activities aligned with functional goals and objectives; able to develop and coach staff    
  •      Good verbal and written communication skills, able to present information to all organizational levels    
  •      Within a matrix environment, able to effectively influence others    
   Desirable Requirements    
  •      Master’s degree or PhD    
  •      Validation experience strongly preferred
