As a Senior Manager, Brand Communications - Respiratory, in Wilmington, DE, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Brand Communications, is both a strategic and tactical role supporting the Head of Corporate Affairs, Respiratory. This role will develop US Respiratory franchise-level therapeutic-area communications – internal and external - related to the Respiratory portfolio, including: brands, media, internal communications, advocacy, corporate reputation, policy and medical community. This ideal candidate possesses a good blend of strategic planning, know-how in stakeholder engagement, and strong communication skills and experiences to collaborate and engage with others, and execute against communications strategies that deliver results for the business.

In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to develop, manage and implement integrated communications strategies and plans to support the goals of the Respiratory portfolio, while working closely with US Corporate Affairs colleagues to ensure integration and effective relationship building across US Respiratory portfolio with important internal and external stakeholders. You’ll coordinate communication strategies and deliverables across Corporate Affairs, Respiratory, to ensure plans are well-coordinated across the team and US Respiratory marketing and sales teams, coordinate and execute the development of internal and external communications on behalf of the US Respiratory portfolio to drive awareness around data, brand milestones and patient programs and materials, and serve as day-to-day contact for agency partners to ensure delivery of projects and programs within budget and on schedule. You’ll also have the opportunity to partner with global communication colleagues (media relations, brand communications, policy and advocacy) to ensure alignment and engagement on US and Global Corporate Affairs activities.


Essential Requirements

  • BS in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience demonstrating increasing levels of experience in corporate affairs, public affairs, corporate communications and issues management
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders balancing their needs with strategic priorities
  • Effective communicator and storyteller
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to navigate complex and matrixed organizations
  • Amenable to travel and after hours work and weekend responsibilities - up to 20% travel required
