The Senior GL Accountant role is an integral part of the Finance team, primarily owning areas such as clinical trial accrual accounting; balance sheet accounts reconciliation, participating in month-end close process as well as participating in various projects as necessary.
The Senior GL Accountant will be responsible for managing clinical trial accrual models and performing reconciliation to general ledger on a monthly basis. Maintaining frequent communications with the Clinical Operation team to update clinical trial models. Prepare journal entries based on the clinical trial accrual models on a monthly basis. Manage investigator payment transactions, including accruals for visits and site payments and update the investigator payments rollforward schedule on a monthly basis. Prepare journal entries for monthly investigator payments accrual as part of the month-end close process. Perform investigator payments reconciliation to general ledger, EDC system, and payment record from Microsoft Navision, and investigate and properly document reconciling items, if any. Keep proactive communications with investigator sites as well as Clinical Operation team. Review new PO report on a monthly basis and update the investigator payment rollforward schedule with new contracts where applicable. Quarterly perform reconciliation to EDC and prepare self-billing statements to process payments to the sites.
The Senior GL Accountant will also be responsible for performing investigator payment reconciliation from Clinverse system to general ledger and record journal entries on a monthly basis. Manage and monitor investigator payment transactions from Clinverse system and investigate anomalies in timely manner. Manage CMC accrual models and perform reconciliation to general ledger as part of the month-end close. Assist in preparing PBC list and requested supporting documents for external and internal audit. Assist on various ad-hoc projects as needed.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 5-7 years of relevant experience
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skillset
* Proactive approach to achieve required results
* Superior organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision, Concur system a
* Experience with Clinverse or DrugDev a
