SUMMARY:

The Senior Director of EMEA Marketing for Oncology is responsible for the development and execution of the strategy and tactics for Celgene Oncology portfolio within Europe, Middle East and Africa. This positions requires close collaboration with the Senior Director Medical Affairs Oncology and the resp. function in Clinical Research and Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead the strategic marketing for Oncology products portfolio (Abraxane, CC-223,-486,-115,-122, …), developing strategic plans and customer based plans including pre-launch marketing plans, strategic financial forecasts, and NPV analysis in Europe.
2. Provide marketing direction at all stages of development and decision-making; including proposed markets, positioning, forecasting, pricing & reimbursement strategies, Phase I/IV projects, Institutional/Public & Patients relations, life-cycle management and scientific / promotional communications.
3. Provide leadership to the brand team members, including coaching, motivating, advising and developing team members.
4. Serve as the European MKT representative of the assigned Global Teams.
5. Manage annual promotional budgets, conducting ROI assessments of tactical programs and ensuring proper execution through the affiliate marketing teams or non-field based approaches.
6. Work with Operational marketing (market research, congress and event management, training),  Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access, Legal, Business Analytics, Global Marketing and Affiliates to ensure appropriate understanding and implementation of the product strategies.
7. Monitor the competitive environment and customer base to quickly identify and implement plan changes.
8. Work with Govt. Affairs on the development/management of relationships with key professional and patient advocacy organizations
9. Develop and deliver presentations for management and internal and external audiences including senior management.
10. Deliver the agreed annual objectives, as a Team work with all other Departments and Countries.
11. Active participation in Congresses, Symposium, Meetings, Country visit, etc..(overnight travel (40%)  within and outside Europe ).


Skills/Knowledge Required:

-  Proven track record of effective people management including coaching, motivating and development planning.
- Lead by example.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, influence, execute
- Effective communication at all times. Experience in delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers with a track record of effective and influential presentations.
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity
- Ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments
- Strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize.
- Must be able to conceptualize and articulate a vision for self and brand that energizes all functional areas and stakeholders.
- Proven team player with ability to navigate cross functionally.
- Ability to interact with, influence and provide direction to affiliate companies.
- Successful candidate should have at least 10 years industry experience with 6+ years of marketing experience, preferably with at least 2 years of Hematology/Oncology experience in Europe, and strong experience in launching new, innovative products.
