The Senior Corporate Counsel will work under the management of the General Counsel and will support the ARIAD Manufacturing, Research and Development, and Clinical Operations functions.

Responsibilities will include:

- Manufacturing - Managing intake, negotiation and drafting of manufacturing supply, distribution and license agreements (US and international). Legal responsibility for Pharmaceutical Development and Operations, Supply Chain and Distribution and Manufacturing Quality Compliance.
- R&D/Clinical Operations - Managing intake, negotiation and drafting of research and development agreements including clinical trial agreements (US and international), vendor agreements (including agreements with CROs), laboratory agreements, pharmacy agreements, and ISTs. Supervisory responsibility of Contract Manager for negotiation with clinical trial sites.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and regulatory guidelines governing commercial and scientific interactions with healthcare professionals, payers, advocacy and other business partners.
- Serve as a role model for compliant behavior that is consistent with the mission, vision and values of the ARIAD organization.
- Other general corporate legal services.

Requirements



The successful candidate must possess the following:

- J.D. degree from a top ranked national or international law school, and a minimum of ten years’ experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company and/or large nationally ranked law firm.
- Self-starter with ability to think and work independently and in a group environment. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to function effectively in an entrepreneurial, high-energy team environment to support various clients in meeting their corporate objectives.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Very strong conversational, negotiation and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced, high pressure environment.
- Ability to prioritize in accordance with corporate goals.
- Significant experience in complex, contract negotiation and versatility with technical manufacturing customs and terms.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical clinical trials, and relevant rules, regulations and guidance.
- Strong commitment to business ethics
- Understanding of, and experience with, regulatory framework applicable to interactions with HCPs, payers, advocacy and other business partners
