We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist with expertise in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics to join ORIC’s Discovery team. The successful candidate will support pharmacokinetic and drug metabolism studies to enable discovery and development of small molecule drugs. Depending on the level of experience, the candidate may also serve as the DMPK project representative on drug discovery project teams and work closely with medicinal chemists to identify and solve the DMPK issues for the SAR molecules, or contribute to the clinical PK analysis function. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, highly organized, focused and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment.

Requirements

•   Ph.D. degree in pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, biochemistry, chemistry or other relevant fields with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience and good understanding of PK and ADME concepts
•   Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS and extensive experience in the development of LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods to support pre-clinical PK or metabolism studies
•   Ability to use Phoenix and other data management software
•   Knowledge of drug metabolism, biotransformation, experience in identification of in vivo and in vitro metabolites
•   Excellent oral and written communication skills
•   Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
