   Main Duties and Responsibilities  

   Scientist II- Scope  

 
       
  •      You will plan, design, and execute multiple simultaneous projects that are complex and technically demanding within a specific area/field.    
  •    
  •      You will initiate, implement, plan, direct, and execute investigations to resolve deviations, understand process trends, and/or improve process performance.    
  •    
  •      You will be responsible for balancing day-to-day technical support for manufacturing and longer term projects and investigations.    
  •    
  •      You will be responsible for maintaining technical expertise on an entire section of the manufacturing process (either upstream, downstream, or fill/pack).    
  •    
  •      You will typically conduct more than one significant project at a time.    
  •    
  •      You will develop investigation findings and make recommendations.    
  •    
  •      You will work under general supervision of higher-level scientist or manager.    
  •    
  •      You will make detailed observations, analyze data, and interpret results.    
  •    
  •      You will effectively present results at internal meetings and external scientific meetings.    
  •    
  •      You will utilize forward-looking perspective to contribute to “go/no go” decisions.    
  •    
  •      You will be responsible for meeting project goals within time and budget constraints.    
  •    
  •      You may make recommendations on outside technologies for company to pursue.    
  •    
  •      You may indirectly supervise lower-level scientists and associates    
  •  

   Senior Scientist – Scope  

 
       
  •      You will plan, design, and execute multiple simultaneous projects that are complex and technically demanding within a specific area/field through significant interactions with internal Process Development staff and external experts.    
  •    
  •      You will initiate, implement, plan, direct, and execute multiple simultaneous investigations to resolve deviations, understand process trends, and/or improve process performance.    
  •    
  •      You will be responsible for balancing day-to-day technical support for manufacturing and longer term projects, investigations, and project team responsibilities.    
  •    
  •      You will be responsible for maintaining technical expertise on an entire section of the manufacturing process (upstream, downstream, or fill/pack) and working knowledge of all other manufacturing processes.    
  •    
  •      You will conduct multiple projects at a time.    
  •    
  •      You will develop investigation findings and make recommendations.    
  •    
  •      You will work under general supervision of higher-level scientist or manager.

   Scientist II/Senior Scientist - BS Required, MS or PhD Preferred

   For Scientist II - PhD 6 years, MS >8 years, BS >10 years  

 

   For Senior Scientist - PhD 10 years, MS >12 years, BS >14 years
