We are looking for a scientist with experience in generating therapeutic antibodies by hybridoma and SLAM technologies.  The incumbent will design immunization strategies for simple to highly complex targets, perform B cell isolation, enrichment and fusions, as well as devise high throughput screening approaches to select high quality drug candidates.  This scientist should have the ability to integrate biologic aspects of targets in the generation of antibody therapeutics, multi-task, use automation for enhanced throughput, and exercise independent judgment regarding process, analysis, organization, and troubleshooting of any issues during immunization campaign or screening assays.  The candidate may also be supporting antibody gene isolation from hybridomas.  He/she should proactively communicate with cross-functional teams to obtain support for antibody therapeutic generation, for antigen source or functional screening.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Immunology or a related field with 4-5 yrs of biotech or biopharma experience in the hybridoma field for therapeutic grade antibodies generation.  Experience in antigen conjugations, flow cytometry, and ELISAs is must.  Experience with other assay platforms is a plus.  Hands-on experience in labeling proteins is highly desirable, and antibody cloning from hybridoma would be beneficial.  Candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to multitask across several scientific areas.  Teamwork, while at the same time have the ability to independently plan, and direct projects to completion within required timelines, is essential.
