   Main Duties and Responsibilities  

   As Scientist I/II – Cancer Biology, you will work in the laboratory as member of a group investigating novel cellular and molecular mechanisms in immuno-oncology by employing the most relevant cellular in vitro human systems and animal models, when applicable. Additionally, you will support preclinical drug discovery programs, through validation assays required for the selection and functional characterization of new lead monoclonal antibodies. You will also play a significant role in the development of a neo-antigen discovery platform, interrogating the combinatorial effect of cytokines and chemotherapeutics on the tumor proteome, the immune proteasome and how these factors combine to alter the MHCI presented immunological epitope repertoire. You will also be expected to manage and prioritize a number of different projects and tasks in line with the objectives of the group.  


   Essential Requirements  

   For Scientist I:  

  •      Minimum of three years of post-doctoral experience in a relevant research area    

   For Scientist II:  

  •      Three to Six years of post-doctoral experience in a relevant research area    
  •      Experience
    in drug development and discovery research
    in an industry setting


   For Both:  

  •      Ph.D. in Immunology or related    
  •      Three to Five years of experience in immunological research    
  •      Extensive scientific expertise in Immunology    
  •      Proven ability to publish in peer reviewed journals, generate technical report summaries and protocols    
  •      Ability to communicate clearly and candidly at internal and external scientific meetings    
  •      Strong hands-on skills in basic biochemical methods including multi-color (10+ channels) flow cytometry (FACS), FACS-based cell sorting, ELISA/multiplex assays, ELISPOT, western blotting, immunoprecipitation    
  •      Dexterous to develop in vitro cell-based assays (use of primary tissues and cells, functional in vitro assays including cell proliferation, apoptosis, ADCC/ADCP, cell intracellular signaling pathways, etc.)    
  •      Good experience on multicolor confocal microscopy    
  •      Well-acquainted with molecular biology techniques (i.e., qRT-PCR) and knowledge in genomics and proteomics database analyses    
   Desirable Requirements  
  •      Highly motivated, innovative, creative, well organized and able to work independently when designing and executing the assays.    
  •      Experience with in vivo tumor models.
