Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a Scientist I to join the Cell Biology team at AnaptysBio. This individual will be involved in the initiation, design, development, and execution of in vitro cell-based assays in support of antibody drug discovery projects in autoimmunity and inflammation. Responsibilities will also include participating on matrixed project teams and potential project co-leadership.

•   Design and perform in vitro human immunology-based antibody screening assays, including reagent and assay validation, to enable the selection and characterization of desirable antibodies against specific targets
•   Work effectively as a member of multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams to accomplish project goals
•   Present research findings clearly and effectively at internal and external meetings



•   PhD in Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years’ productive postdoctoral research experience in a cellular immunology-related area; one or more years’ experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry in biologics drug discovery research environment is preferred
•   Demonstrated success in independent scientific thinking and experimental design/approaches
•   Extensive knowledge of in vitro human cellular immunology assays, including working knowledge of human lymphoid and myeloid cell immunology
•   Familiarity with inflammation and autoimmune disease research areas
•   Strong record of scientific publications, in accord with years of experience
•   Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and function in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
•   Motivated team player, collaborates with colleagues within and outside of Department, intensely committed to success and getting the job done well in a highly dynamic environment
•   Commitment to high scientific standards and rigorous experimental methods, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•   Effective communication and interpersonal skills
