Job Description

REG Life Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Automation specialist to join our BioAnalytical Chemistry Group. This position will be responsible for the development, execution, and support of automated workflows and processes used for the construction and evaluation of enzyme and whole cell biological catalysts.

The successful candidate will contribute to the integration of these technologies in day-to-day laboratory operations and will interface with scientists within and across functional groups and project teams. This is a hands-on position that requires experience with automation technologies (Tecan, NXP, Qpix, Bravo, etc), laboratory instrument integration programming language (VB script, Javascript, .NET,  C++, Labview, etc.), and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Prior work experience in a bio-industrial or synthetic biology setting, knowledge and experience with high-through-put fermentation, cell physiology, assay development and miniaturization, biocatalyst characterization and LIMSs are desirable. Position requires a BS, MS, or PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or a related discipline, with title being reflective of relevant experience.
