Job Description

REG Life Sciences is seeking a highly motivated enzymologist to join our BioAnalytical Chemistry Group. This position will be responsible for purification and characterization of enzymes, including the design and execution of enzymatic assays of various throughput and complexity.  The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment across different projects under tight time-lines, be able to train and provide guidance to other scientists and research associates and collaborate closely with multiple functional groups such as metabolic engineering, bioprocess engineering, and bioanalytical chemistry. This is a hands-on position that requires deep experience in protein purification, enzyme kinetics, developing biochemical and biophysical assays and working with analytical techniques such as FPLC, GC/FID, GC/MS, LC/MS, fluorescence-UV-visible spectroscopic methods and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior work experience in a bio-industrial or synthetic biology setting, knowledge and experience with high-through-put fermentation, microbial cell physiology, assay development and miniaturization and LIMSs are desirable. Position requires a MS or PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or a related discipline, with title being reflective of relevant experience.

Requirements
