Job Description

Bay Area (South San Francisco) clinical stage biotech startup is looking for an experienced scientist for our DMPK group. We are focusing on small molecular therapeutics to target autoimmune/inflammatory disorders and oncology, based on immunoproteasome and protein secretion biology. We have programs at both clinical and discovery/pre-clinical stages. This is an exciting opportunity to play a major scientific and strategic role in the research and development of novel therapies for serious diseases. This position will be responsible for all aspects of in vitro and in vivo ADME functions including bioanalytical method development and optimization for lead candidates, and will contribute to publications and management of external collaborations.  This position will involve working on ongoing programs as well as leading new/emerging projects.  Hands-on participation in project-related experiments will be essential to success in this position. Flexibility to work simultaneously on multiple projects under tight timelines and changing priorities is must for this position.

•   Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics, biochemistry, chemistry or related field with 2-5 years of experience; or MS with more than 10 years relevant industrial experience
•   Extensive experiences with LC-MS/MS to design, conduct, and report in vitro and in vivo studies to support pre-clinical PK or metabolism studies
•   Excellent PK/PD data analysis and results interpretation skills
•   Experience with CRO management
•   Expertise in instrument trouble shooting and problem solving
•   Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast paced start up environment
