The successful candidate for the Scientist position will join the Profiling and Cell Services team with a multifaceted approach for providing high value services based on the platform and other proprietary technologies.
Culturing and expansion of clonal cell lines for cell production.
Maintenance of clonal cell lines for assay preparation.
Dispensing of cells using automated equipment.
Managing assay and cell culture material.
Updating database and shared sheets daily.
Maintaining cryo inventory.
General lab support and organization.
Supporting team members in group projects.
Daily laboratory notebook entry.
Weekly progress report generation.
Participation in and presentation at group laboratory meetings.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Laboratory environment. This role routinely uses standard laboratory equipment. This position operates in a BSL1/2 laboratory setting. There is potential for exposure to human tissues and fluids.
BS in cell biology / biochemistry.
Hands on experience with cell culture required.
Must be detailed orientated and consistent in experimental approach.
Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Must be team-oriented and accustomed to working with other scientists.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Must be comfortable and experienced working in a commercially focused lab environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with performing cell based and ELISA assays preferable.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
