Job Description

bioAffinity Technologies, Inc. is a pre-revenue biotechnology company with exciting opportunities in the molecular diagnostics and therapeutics field.  We are looking for individuals interested in applying their research skills in development of 1) diagnostics aimed at detecting cancer at the earliest stages, and 2) targeted therapeutics for cancer.  The applicant will work under the direction of the Director of Basic and Applied Research on well-defined projects to advance the Company’s mission.


Success in this position will require:
•   Comprehensive knowledge of cancer cell biology
•   Methodical and meticulous approaches to solving problems
•   Excellent record keeping
•   Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
•   Strong verbal and written communication skills
•   A willingness to learn and adopt new experimental skills
•   Continuous awareness of advances in  cancer cell biology, by independently reviewing the primary literature and the application of this knowledge to the Company’s mission and objectives

Preferred Technical Skills:
•   Sterile tissue culture techniques for culturing cancer cell lines, as well as primary cells
•   Retro- and lenti-virus preparation and usage
•   Standard techniques in DNA & RNA isolation and analysis; molecular cloning; real-time PCR
•   Protein biochemistry techniques, including protein isolation and purification; western blotting
•   Cell proliferation and viability assays; cell cycle analysis
•   Gene silencing and genome editing techniques, including shRNA and CRISPR
•   Ability to design, analyze, document and present data  
•   Ability to prioritize projects and multi-task

Minimum Qualifications:
•   PhD in Cell/Molecular Biology is preferred. MS is acceptable as a minimum in combination with adequate work history that demonstrates the candidate possesses the targeted expert knowledge and skills
•   Proficient in current cell and molecular biology techniques, including cell culture, nucleic acid manipulations, and protein biochemistry
•   Up-to-date knowledge of cancer biology
•   Conversant in computer software to support data analysis tasks (e.g., GraphPad/Prism, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•   Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize scientific results in a clear, concise, & accurate manner
