Sales & Marketing Manager

Mirimus, Inc. is a young start-up that has developed innovative technology platforms for rapid production of customized genetically engineered mouse models using RNA interference technology. It offers unparalleled expertise in methodologies for production of sophisticated models for use at various stages of the drug discovery process or for academic research.

Mirimus is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, creative sales and marketing manager to perform strategic marketing functions, including direct sales at conferences and trade shows, scientific seminars/presentations, communication with existing customers, developing lead and project opportunities.  We are seeking an experienced communicator with a strong background in molecular biology and biotechnology necessary to sell our products and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•   Perform strategic market analysis: market size and drivers, competitive landscape, opportunities and factor for success
•   Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and programs to support sales and revenue objectives, including pricing strategies, market positioning, sales plan and implementation strategies
•   Direct sales through scientific presentations and exhibition demonstrations, travel required
•   Develop rolling sales forecasts and evaluations of performance
•   Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, key opinion leaders and strategic partners
•   Perform administrative duties involved in sales and customer relations

Requirements

Interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and have thorough knowledge in molecular biological methods, RNAi interference applications and drug discovery screening approaches. Master’s degree and PhDs are highly encouraged to apply. Four or more years of experience in life sciences are required as well as sales and marketing experience.
