Description

The Institute for Software Integrated Systems, is a research organization of the School of Engineering at Vanderbilt University. ISIS conducts basic and applied research in the area of systems and information science and engineering.

The selected candidate will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, with 2-5 years of experience. Maximum 2 years of research (done while working towards the PhD degree) could be counted towards this total.

Research: Established reputation in the immediate professional community (cooperating researchers, sponsoring agencies and industry). Indications of emerging national reputation signified by engineering/research products used by others, publications in established journals and national/international conferences, inquiries about cooperation and research results, etc. Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow funded research programs. Ability and desire to participate in collaborative efforts. Commitment to the ISIS mission and aspiration to participate in an advanced research program.

Project Management: Demonstrated ability to design and implement project plans. Ability to direct work of research staff and graduate students.

All applicants are required to meet the EXPORT CONTROL/ITAR requirements.

This is a full-time position with Vanderbilt University and includes a competitive
