Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Small Molecule Open Access and Expert Purification team (part of the Analytical Group) that supports Medicinal Chemistry.

- Demonstrates a high level of creativity and independence in designing new high throughput small molecule purification and analytical functions
- Demonstrates highly productivity in high throughput purification and is able to lead the purification team into new areas
- Demonstrates and excellent understanding and knowledge of, and provides recommendations on, laboratory tools and procedures as appropriate
- If requested, is able to effectively supervise scientific associate or scientist staff members to high levels of productivity, and to improve the skills and knowledge of direct reports through mentorship and focused development activities
- Contributes effectively to patent, report and scientific publication writing as the senior author
- Has very good communication skills and is able to describe strategies, results, and problems to other members of the department and external consultants as required
- Has sufficient understanding of the computational tools applied to the program to be able to effectively interact with the analytical chemistry on the program and integrate the information into the design and evaluation of proposed processes

Requirements

- Expert in high throughput small molecule purification and laboratory automation
- Expert in reverse/normal phase HPLC, UPLC, LCMS, SFC and NMR
- The successful candidate will be highly team-oriented and customer focused.
- Broad knowledge of analytical technology
- Is consistently highly productive
- Multi-tasks effectively
- Must have strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills as well as a strong sense of customer service and professionalism.
- Excellent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

EDUCATION:
PhD degree in analytical chemistry with 3+ years academic or industrial lab experience, or an MS degree with 10+ years’ experience, as well as experience with HPLC, UPLC, LCMS, SFC and NMR
