Job Description

ACEA Biosciences, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Reagent Development Team.  This position will be primarily responsible for developing reagents used in flow cytometry for both IVD and research applications.  


•   Research and explore the feasibility of projects, write product development proposals
•   Plan, design and perform reagent development experiments and data analysis, provide experiment summary and reports
•   Optimize protocol and processes, develop SOPs and product specifications
•   Transfer products and protocols to other functional groups
•   Participate in document preparation for project updates and review
•   Contribute to trouble shooting/problem solving during various stages of product development
•   Responsible for reagent team related logistics such as ordering supplies & reagents
•   Work independently with minimal supervision
•   Perform other activities and responsibilities as assigned



•   Ph.D. in life sciences with Post Doc. - OR -
•   Master degree with minimum of 6 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
•   Solid knowledge in immunology or cell biology and biochemistry
•   Substantial hands-on experience with flow cytometry analysis of human blood cells or cell lines is required
•   Experience in cell stabilization/preservation in liquid, is desirable
•   Experience with beads based immunoassays is a plus
•   Demonstrated ability in developing new reagent products; new assays preferred
•   Action oriented and attention to detail with the strong drive for results
•   Ability to advance multiple projects, to identify priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
•   A good team player who sets the team goal as priority, respectful to others, dependable and helpful
•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as having strong interpersonal skills are essential in this role
