Job Description

Harpoon Therapeutics is a startup biotechnology company located in South San Francisco, CA.  We are focused on the development of novel immune cell engaging therapeutics for oncology indications. We are looking for a motivated, flexible, highly-productive individual who seeks to work in a cross-functional collaborative research environment. This individual should be fully committed to delivering reliable, high-quality outputs in a timely manner to help the team reach its goals.

Key Responsibilities

-   Execution of multi-step protein purification by diverse chromatography using AKTA Unicorn-based methods.
-    Chromatography buffer preparation and sample preparation such as UF/DF
-   Perform SDS-PAGE, Spectrometry, HPLC, and Western blot analysis of purified proteins.
-   Protein chemistry, conjugation, and validation of reagent molecules for assays.
-   Materials management and inventory database maintenance.
-   Order laboratory supplies and update chemical inventory as necessary.
-   Maintain electronic lab notebook entries, prepare reports, and make regular presentations to summarize results and update managers.


The ideal candidate will have:
-   Training in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related fields.
-   Bachelors + 2-4 years or Masters + 1-3 years of relevant experience in industry or academic lab.
-   Experience in protein chemistry e.g. chromatography, labeling and conjugation, or analytics.
-   Experience in mammalian cell culture is helpful.
-   Demonstrated aptitude for detail-oriented work and following precise protocols.
-   Demonstrated aptitude for learning new techniques and handling diverse tasks concurrently.
-   Ability to work independently or with limited direct supervision.
-   Ability to work and communicate well with other team members.
-   Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, timeline-based environment.
