Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated cell biologist to characterize new targets for our industry–leading ADC technology. The successful candidate should have significant training in 1 or more of the following disciplines: histology, oncology, immunology, cell biology, functional genomics, or signal transduction. A deep and broad expertise in histotechnology procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities:

   
        
  • The successful candidates will independently design, conduct, and interpret experiments aimed at enriching the Seattle Genetics pipeline
  •     
  • Core techniques will span both histology and cell biology methods, such as maintenance of a biospecimen repository, sectioning of histology samples, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, flow cytometry, cell-based assays, and cell culture
  •     
  • Additional techniques will include Western blotting, protein binding assays, epitope mapping, and standard molecular biology techniques
  •     
  • The successful candidate will present the results of their projects at Target Validation and cross-functional team meetings
  •  

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in cell biology, immunology, or a related field
  • 2-6 years of independent research experience
  • Significant training in 1 or more of the following disciplines: histology, oncology, immunology, cell biology, functional genomics, or signal transduction
  • Deep and broad expertise in histotechnology procedures is a plus
  • Experience with automation, high-throughput screening, or imaging assays is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are mandatory
