Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable, enthusiastic, and motivated research associate to assist our Protein Sciences group with core protein expression and analytics to support preclinical efforts in developing antibody-based therapeutics. The right candidate will also participate in design and functional characterization of novel engineered antibodies and ADCs. Specific RA level will be commensurate with applicant's experience.


 Responsibilities:

   
        
  • Expression of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells
  •     
  • Documentation and database tracking of protein expression requests and reagents
  •     
  • Antibody/recombinant protein analytics
  •     
  • Design, develop and optimize experiments to characterize protein/antibody function
  •     
  • Data analysis, report generation and presentation of results
  •     
  • Assist with protein purification as needed
  •  

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biological sciences or related discipline
  • 1+ years of relevant industry or at-bench academic lab experience
  • Familiarity with mammalian transfection and protein expression; preferably in CHO
  • Experience with flow cytometry and cell biology assays
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to self-organize and perform routine tasks independently
  • Commitment to high quality work and documentation
  • Proven creativity, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills

Preference Granted for:

  • Working knowledge of recombinant antibody function
  • Experience with antibody binding assays such as SPR-Biacore, Octet, ELISA
  • Expertise in state-of-the-art molecular biology and phage display
  • Analytical chromatography, mass spectrometry and/or glycosylation evaluation
  • Protein purification experience
