RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

DermTech International (website: www.dermtech.com ) has become a leader in the development of molecular techniques for commercial and clinical dermatology applications.  Headquartered in San Diego, California, the company operates a fully-equipped laboratory for research and development and collaborates with clients in applying molecular biology solutions to specific client needs in the areas of clinical research and dermatology.   We currently have an opening for Research Associate or Senior Research Associate (RA/SRA) position.  

Job responsibilities and requirements:
The RA/SRA will be participating in a wide variety of laboratory-based activities with an emphasis on real-time quantitative PCR.  
The successful candidate will have:
•   Experience with real-time quantitative PCR
•   PCR experience and RNA based assays.
•   Molecular biology experience
•   Ability to work in a team environment
•   Experience working with RNA and some automation/liquid handling highly desirable.
•   Experience working in a CLIA or diagnostic laboratory desirable
•   Minimum B.S. degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry, with 2 years of industry experience.
