The University of Pittsburgh and the Center for Simulation and Modeling invite applications for two Research Assistant/Associate Professor positions (depending on qualifications). The positions are outside the tenure stream. Major responsibilities include playing a leadership role in the Center, assisting students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty in optimizing software for high performance computer systems, and in exploiting state-of-the-art hardware for demanding computational applications. Candidates must have a PhD in mathematics, computer science, the sciences, or engineering and have experience with developing applications for high performance computing. Experience with LINUX and MPI is essential.
