Description

Algenol is currently seeking a seeking a Project Manager to provide cross-functional operational management to Algenol’s scientific teams. Will organize all aspects of project activities and provide support to the science and engineering team leaders by establishing timelines, tracking and coordinating efforts across teams, and facilitating effective information flow among the teams.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Planning and attending weekly conference calls of scientific teams and ensure all issues are identified and appropriately addressed or assigned
2. Tracking and directing team activities, facilitating completion of action items, enhancing communication among the teams, identifying and addressing issues on project progression, and supporting team members in executing timely completion of goals
3. Overseeing and ensuring that the integrity and retention of team documentation is appropriately maintained
4. Providing regular status reports to Senior Management

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
1. BA/BS in a biological science, or other biology related discipline is required
2. Minimum of 3+ years experience in project coordination in a scientific field – cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or other biology related discipline
3. Exceptional organization skills, oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills
4. Ability to initiate, plan, and execute multiple projects and sub-projects with ease
5. Proven experience and ability to work with cross-functional teams, as well as Company Executives
6. Expertise in use of project management software solutions, including skills in critical path analysis
7. Experience in video and web conferencing tools

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced Degree (MS)
2. PMP Certification
3. Experience with both a PC and MAC a plus
4. MS Project experience is a plus
