Job Description

The ideal candidate should be experienced in human primary T cell culture and in applying gene editing approaches for the generation of transgenic T cells. She/he will be responsible for the execution and interpretation of critical path experiments for the development of the optimal gene-editing strategy to generate primary human CD3 T cells transgenic for a no-specific TCR derived from the patients’ blood or tumor tissues. The candidate should enjoy operating in an exceptionally dynamic and cooperative environment and will communicate results to and coordinate efforts with a larger cross-disciplinary team of immunologists, biologists, engineers and bio-informaticians.
•   The candidate will be actively performing experiments to validate and improve the technology for gene editing (knock-in and knock-out) of endogenous and neoE TCRs, and analyzing the resulting data.
•   She/he must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in the form of written reports. The incumbent will aid in drafting protocols and SOPs, and provide data for regulatory documentation to support clinical development.


Minimum Qualifications:
•   The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience; a Master’s degree with 2+ years’ experience; or PhD; with career focus in primary cell gene editing or immuno-oncology. Industry experience is a plus.
•   The candidate should have experience in primary blood cell isolation, culture, and analysis, including flow cytometry.
•   The candidate should be highly goal-driven and have demonstrated the ability to focus on time-sensitive objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
•   The incumbent should have experience in technology development for gene editing (knock-in and knock-out) approaches including but not limited to mRNA or plasmid transfection; lentiviral, retroviral and AAV-based transductions; and site-specific nucleases.
•   Experience with CRISPR or TALEN editing and resulting cellular and molecular analysis is a plus.
