Job Description

We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for supporting quality control programs to ensure effective product production while maintaining quality and costs standards.

  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Develop and improve QMS documentation based on GDP and ISO standards.
  • Support quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals. Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality
  • Provides inspection activity for product throughout the production cycle. Assess and optimize production processes, create SOP, and establish communication plans between departments.
  • Sustain ISO Certification systems and support annual compliance audits. Trains peers and functional leaders for SOP, projects, and process improvements. Plan and monitor for sustainable improvements.
  • Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Support and initiate any other activities with regard to Inventory, Safety, Environmental, Regulatory, and Equipment Maintenance on as needed basis.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering preferred

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience
  • Lean Manufacturing methodologies, training and/or implementation experience
  • Statistical knowledge and labor analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to train supervisors, functional leaders, and peers
  • Should be a self-starter, hands-on, and able to work well in teams.
  • Established knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 Knowledge of SQC, MiniTab, preferred.
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
