As a Publications Specialist in Wilmington, DE you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.


   Main Duties and Responsibilities:  


   The Publications Specialist provides medical communication capability in the production and timely submission of medical, scientific and technical publications (including manuscripts and scientific meeting deliverables [abstracts and posters]) across the product life cycle to communicate information about AstraZeneca products and related disease areas to health care professionals. The scope of the major responsibilities will vary with the level of expertise and experience.  


   Essential Requirements:  


   Minimum Requirements  

  •      Baccalaureate degree plus a minimum of 2 years of experience    
  •      Excellent written and oral communication skills    
  •      Ability to interact with key external contacts
  •      Influencing, interpersonal skills
  •      Knowledge of external publication practices and standards

   Preferred Background  

  •      Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  •      Knowledge of drug development process
  •      Negotiating skills
  •      Previous experience in TA areas of AstraZeneca products

  •      Internal – Medical Affairs Team Leads and other members of the Medical Team, Medical Scientific Liaisons, Publications Leaders, Clinical Research Directors, HEOR Scientists, Statisticians, Global Publication Leads, Global Publications Directors, Compliance & Ethics Directors, Procurement    
  •      External – External Investigators/Authors, Medical Communications Agencies
