   Main Duties and Responsibilities  

   Scope  

       
  •      You will have the ability to apply expertise as a project manager within the pharma industry to successfully manage projects.    
  •    
  •      You will have working knowledge of project management tools including schedules, communication plans, risk plans, resource plans, scope management tools, action item trackers, and project plans.    
  •    
  •      You will be a strong user of MS Project as a tool to create integrated timelines and monitor project progress.    
  •  

   Position Summary  

   You will lead and manage commercial, technical and site projects of low to medium complexity, as assigned.  

   Essential Job Functions all Project Managers:  

 
       
  •      For projects of low complexity, you will lead the project core team, and ensure team effectiveness. You will be accountable for the delivery of the project on time, on budget, aligned with the expectations of key project stakeholders.    
  •    
  •      For projects of high complexity and strategic programs, you will provide project management support to a Team Leader.    
  •    
  •      You will lead the project core team to create integrated project plans including scope, schedule, risk and communication plans.    
  •    
  •      You will complete project documentation using the established tools and templates from the site PMO.    
  •    
  •      You will track and report on the progress including production of routine status reports and project metrics.    
  •    
  •      You will work with the Team Leader to monitor and control the project to ensure delivery. You will utilize critical path methodology (CPM) to track and deliver on the project schedule.    
  •    
  •      You will work with the Team Leader to develop and management a robust risk management plan.    
  •    
  •      You will coach projects through stage-gating process with site Portfolio Steering Committee.    
  •    
  •      You will identify key integration points with other projects and efforts in the enterprise. You will elevate conflicts and issues.    
  •    
  •      You will contribute to the maturation of project management capabilities at the site through lessons learned, enhancements to the PM tool kit, and additions to the PM knowledgebase.    
  •    
  •      You will ensure administrative and financial closure of assigned projects.    
  •    
  •      You are expected to manage multiple project teams.    
  •  

   Commercial Project Managers (Site Product Steward Role):  

 
       
  •      You will manage commercial projects (commercial support teams) in conjunction with the Director of Commercial Project Management.    
  •    
  •      You will develop an annual resource plan and schedule for site product support deliverables for assigned products.    
  •    
  •      You will work with product core and working teams to ensure delivery of annual goals, resolution of issues and ongoing product support including quality and regulatory compliance.    
  •    
  •      You will ensure maintenance of product knowledge repositories through the product support team.    
  •    
  •      You will highlight product support risks and issues to site governance teams.    
  •  

   Technical Project Managers:  

 
       
  •      You will manage technical projects (Tech Transfer, Process Characterization, Process Validation/PPQ)  in conjunction with a Team Leader.    
  •    
  •      You will develop industry and technical expertise through review of current scientific literature, participation in site technical development, and attendance and participation at conferences.    
  •  

Requirements

   Essential Requirements  

   Experience/Education  

 
       
  •      BS required    
  •    
  •      Minimum of 5 years project management experience    
  •    
  •      Minimum of 5 years experience in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical environment    
  •    
  •      Tech PM: Tech Transfer experience a strong plus    
  •    
  •      Comm PM: Commercial product experience a strong plus    
  •  

   Problem Solving  

 
       
  •      You will have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.    
  •    
  •      You will have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.    
  •    
  •      You will have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.    
  •    
  •      You will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
