About the Company:
The Emerald Health Pharmaceuticals (EHP) vision is to make a significant positive difference in the lives of patients through the development of safe, novel cannabinoid-based prescription medicines in a wide range of therapeutic indications.  Our strategy is the development of new chemical entities derived from cannabinoid molecules as novel prescription pharmaceutical therapeutic candidates.
EHP was founded in 2017 and is partnered with Emerald Health Sciences and Emerald Heath Research to build on our world leading position in the field of cannabinoid science.  Through these entities we have the opportunity to develop and commercialize our drug candidates.  

About the Role:
As EHP expands its operations, we seek a Project Manager to lead projects critical to the success of the company. We are looking for an individual who can independently lead multiple projects simultaneously, and are comfortable reporting directly to senior management.  The successful Project Manager will manage a variety of projects from inception to completion in collaboration with cross functional resources and stakeholders across the different functions of the company. This individual will successfully manage all phases of project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes to ensure that the projects are completed according to established business timelines and within budget.
Initial product development will focus on Multiple Sclerosis, Scleroderma, Huntington’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease.
This role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EHP until the position of VP of Operations is filled.

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager holds the worldwide teams, including outside contractors, accountable to the company’s strategic plan by ensuring the goals defined by senior executive team and then measuring the results achieved against the goals. The Project Manager will have to continuously be in contact with the relevant parties to ensure timelines are met.  They will also need to identify and weigh the risks associated with product development initiatives.  The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of the overall product development lifecycle from research to commercialization.
Specific Responsibilities include:
1.   Lead projects critical to the success of the corporation
2.   Manage to goals, priorities and timelines
3.   Create, track, and report progress to timelines and milestones
4.   Prioritize projects based on direction from Sr. Leadership and according to established business priorities; escalate issues and suggestions for resolution in a timely manner
5.   Work collaboratively across the corporation
6.   Hold team members accountable
7.   Identify potential risks and opportunities, including mitigation strategies and contingency plans, and escalates to governance when required
8.   Develop and lead mitigation strategies and contingency plans
9.   Regularly communicate status updates to stakeholders and business leaders
10.   Prudently manage competition for scarce resources
11.   Avoid scope creep
12.   Facilitate staff engagement with PMO governance according to established process
13.   Other duties are required and/or assigned

Requirements

Requirements:
•   Bachelor’s Degree
•   8 years of business experience, within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries
•   5+ years of project management experience using project life cycle methodologies (e.g., SDLC, process management, organizational change)
•   Proficient use of Microsoft Office® suite and project management software (Smartsheet, LiquidPlanner, Teamwork, Asana, JIRA, MS Project, etc)
•   Experience in a regulated environment (FDA/CLIA preferred)
•   Related experiences in a Life Sciences, Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare, Genomics or related environment
•   Ability to travel to Europe, primarily Spain, 4-5 times per year.
