Calico is seeking an exceptional Program Team Leader (PTL) to manage research stage programs. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for developing compounds as they transition from target identification to IND filing and exploratory clinical development. The PTL will be expected to partner with key stakeholders to define the vision and drug discovery and development strategy for the program and to provide experienced leadership and direction to the cross-functional team. Additionally, the PTL will be responsible for interacting with Calico’s partners, including AbbVie, to coordinate all scientific activities and manage the project’s expenses. The PTL will be expected to drive both strategic and operational decisions, through a deep understanding of the target biology, candidate optimization, use of translational disease models to evaluate therapeutic indication selection and clinical development.
