Hospira PROGRAM MANAGER -TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER The candidate will serve the role of Project Manager (PM) for Technology Transfer group and will be responsible for managing a cross functional team for technology transfer of products between Hospira sites, from RD to manufacturing sites including external manufacturing sites.The PM will provide end to end project management over all work streams required for a project of such significance. The candidate will have proven project management experience and will be capable of directing a team to build integrated and detailed work breakdown schedules, build resource plans, manage technical risks, create mitigation strategies, and build strong communication plans. The PM will be capable of providing detailed instruction at the team level in addition to providing clear, concise, and holistic updates to the senior leadership in the company.The candidate will be a proven leader that has demonstrated the ability to lead cross-functional groups of professionals in a regulated environment to help achieve company objectives. The candidate will have exposure and knowledge of sterile manufacturing, GMP and regulatory compliance requirements of different drug agencies (primarily US FDA).The PM will act as a liaison and have a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of site manufacturing, quality, regulatory, RD, technical operations, procurement, supply chain, finance and documentation as it relates to executing the project and technology transfer of products on day to day basis. Conduct review meetings with representatives from cross functional teams and other pertinent groups to discuss the status of all the projects related to technology transfer. Additional responsibilities include:Establish and maintain key project management tools including but not limited to MS Project Plans, Resource Analyses, Dashboards, and project charters. Use planning tools to hold a complex project on schedule and coordinates parallel activities.Build a detailed, end to end project plan that includes assessment plan, a project schedule, resourcing plan and risk matrix.Bring quick resolution to project issues and will work with cross-functional leaders to drive decisions to keep the project on schedule.Continuously review plan execution against target. Anticipate problems, develop alternatives and ensure key contributors are fully apprised of changes and developments.Assure compliance with the with the Technology Transfer Team lead. Escalate any conflict or potential deviation from the agreed project milestones.Establish strong working relationships with key customers/opinion leaders (internal/external) and demonstrate personal ownership and accountability for results focused on customer service.Establish feasible plans, and negotiate and agree with all pertinent parties to ensure that adequate resources are in place to meet the project's goals and timeline.

Requirements

Bachelor degree preferably in Engineering, Science or other related technical discipline. Minimum of 7 years experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial position. Minimum of two years experience in project management (PM) with excellent project management skills and proficiency in PM tools (Microsoft Project, Excel, or any other project planning tool). Strong knowledge of cGMPs and FDA regulations. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills (at the project team and management level) are essential. Ability to construct project plans, facilitate teams, and identify resources based on program tasks. Experience in contingency planning. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Self confidence and effective decision making throughout a project. Ability to collaborate with a range of technically and culturally diverse people and deliver business results.
