Description

•May supervise a small to medium function.
•Receives general instructions.
•Determines work assignments and priorities.
•Supervises production according to established protocols
•Coordinates establishment and documentation of procedures. Ensure SOPs are reviewed and updated as needed; and that all manufacturing processes are performed in compliance with cGMP, SOP, and safety requirement.
•Ensures customer service level, cost and quality, efficiency are maintained.
•Manages activities of a team of employees.  Conducts performance reviews and documentation.
•Hires and trains staff as needed.
•Participates in Material Review Board meetings.
•Troubleshoots workmanship problems. Resolve personnel problems within the guidelines of company policies and rules in conjunction with Management and Human Resources.
•Schedules and distributes work of staff.
•Monitors processes and makes corrections to stay within schedule, budgets, and established targets.
•Regularly provide production data and feedback to management and employees on performance, quality, and processing changes.
•Identifies opportunities and recommends changes as needed.
•Coordinates with other teams on procedures and improvement opportunities.
•Provides product leadership by assessing results through finished product release.
•Provides skilled technical guidance for production issues. Interacts with Warehouse, Quality Control, and Operation staff to insure the production of products meets quality standard in a timely manner.
•Assists with establishing annual budgets.
•Tracks expenses against budget.
•Controls expenditures.
•Develops strategy to meet business goals and schedules according to plan.
•Addresses customer concerns.
•Participate in automation, process validation, troubleshooting, and NPD processes.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Life Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
•8+ years related experience, including prior supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Computer skills in relevant applications.
•Advanced knowledge of assigned product group(s).
•Analytical, financial planning, communication, and project management skills.
•Knowledge of and experience with inventory management, demand flow technology, instrument or facility production processes and process equipment, and related technologies.
•Relevant certifications or training a plus.
