Job Description


Aimmune is recruiting for a highly motivated individual who will have overall responsibility for planning and coordinating the manufacture and final packaging of allergen drug products used in Aimmune clinical trials for the treatment of food allergies. Responsibilities will expand to include commercial production planning as products progress through the development pipeline. This position will be based in Aimmune’s Brisbane, CA office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•   Consolidate trial-specific demand forecasts from clinical supply chain into an integrated global packaging plan
•   Create and maintain a bulk drug product forecast and manufacturing schedule consistent with the integrated global packaging plan
•   Manage lot expiry dating to ensure adequate inventories of clinical trial materials
•   Review and approve packaging specifications and related documents for clinical packaging operations
•   Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and improve the efficiency of clinical packaging operations
•   Assist as required in development and implementation of an ERP system for internal management of clinical and/or commercial product
•   Work closely with CMC Quality Assurance to ensure the integrity of the supply chain

Requirements


Education and/or experience:
•   BS degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience, some in a biopharmaceutical setting
•   APICS certification, Six-Sigma certification, or comparable supply chain management training desirable
•   Working knowledge of cGMP requirements including FDA and EU guidelines as they relate to clinical and commercial packaging of drug substance
•   Exquisite attention to detail and meticulous documentation practices
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel including advanced functions for data analysis
•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•   Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
•   Experience with MRP/ERP systems desirable
