As a Procurement Analytics Developer, in Wilmington, DE, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a member of the North America Procurement team, the Analytics Developer will execute and deliver data driven analysis in support of strategic sourcing projects and department initiatives. This is a highly analytical position requiring the ability to manipulate and derive insights from large volumes of data. In the exciting role, you will have the opportunity to lead the development, tracking and reporting of key department performance and compliance metrics to a variety of business audiences. You will be responsible for planning, building, and maintaining analytics solutions for the NAM Commercial Procurement group, with the ability to apply technical knowledge of databases (especially MS SQL Server) and programming (in R, Python, Ruby, etc.) to create solutions with real-world data. You will also define and maintain data management standards to ensure the delivery of consistent, accurate business analysis and metrics for key department activities, including:

  • Spend categorization
  • Spend assessments
  • Cost Modeling
  • Financial risk reviews
  • Compliance reporting

In addition, you will perform sourcing and category management responsibilities for a specific sub-category of spend, including stakeholder engagement, competitive bidding and supplier monitoring, while delivering supply market intelligence and insights to sourcing managers via active management of external subscriptions and services. Working with Procurement and Business stakeholders, you will also build and maintain strategic analytical programs/applications in order to put in place business solutions.


Essential Requirements

-Minimum of 5 years business experience

- Exceptional track record of data driven analysis

- Demonstrated expertise in:

  • Manipulating large datasets
  • Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Access
  • Commonly used BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Microstrategy)
  • SQL / Python / R

- Detail oriented with excellent organizational, problem solving, communication, and professional interpersonal skills

-Comfortable translating data and insights to Senior Executives

- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Desirable Requirements

-MBA or graduate degree

-Specific experience with supply chain or sourcing analysis

-Experience with SAP and/or Ariba is a plus
