Job Description

The Process Engineering Manager reports to the Global Functional Lead and is a primary point of contact between local and Global Operations (including manufacturing, direct procurement, and supply chain).  The key responsibilities include:



Collaborates with Manufacturing, Direct Procurement, Supply Chain, SHE, and Quality to ensure safe, efficient and on schedule product launches.
Supports and provides technical input to the execution of projects through all project execution phases (PI, DG, DI, DO, and LD).  Responsible for the development of design specifications, design controls, drawings, validation acceptance criteria, shipping studies, product testing strategies aligned with CSA, EMC, and ISO practices, design verifications, manufacturing reliability, and controls strategies.
Integrates into technical teams and works to understand the status of projects, opportunities to support R&D with operations resources and expertise, and to build strong relationships with stakeholders..
Supports Operations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implements systems to measure and improve Operational performance.
Builds, expands and leverages network through collaboration to provide  expertise and capability to drive product launch and operational performance.
Participates in supplier selections, audits, and evaluations.
Provides regular updates on technical progress, project timelines, and strategy to stakeholders including Global Functions and Life Cycle Teams.
Designs and implements training to ensure organizational understanding of processes for design transfer, DFM, capabilities and limitations at various Roche manufacturing sites, etc.


Requirements

Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
5 years of related operations experience including device technical transfers, validation and project execution.
Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to present at all functional levels.
Understanding of continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.  Six sigma green belt or higher preferred.
Ability to collaborate and deliver in a complex global organization
