   As the Principal Project Manager you will lead and manage capital projects that support the West Chester Ohio Supply Site and is responsible for all phases of a project including business case justification, project initiation, sanctioning, planning, execution and closure.  Your project responsibilities will also include project team management, stakeholder management and project communications.  Your scope of work includes capital projects, projects or programs related to increasing capacity and efficiencies at the site.   

   Essential Job Functions:  

 
       
  •      Lead, direct and manage capital projects in support of business and operations strategies and improvement opportunities, including increasing capacity and efficiencies, and transformation initiatives at the West Chester Supply Site    
  •    
  •      Control project budget and timeline    
  •    
  •      Manage supplier activities during design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and qualification    
  •    
  •      Align with and utilize the AstraZeneca  Project Management  Framework  (PMF), including execution of all project phases (justify, initiate, plan, execute and close), serve as champion relative to AZ PMF, provide project management  training as needed and use standard project management tools    
  •    
  •      Develop and manage project plans, budgets and schedules    
  •    
  •      Manage changes to project scope, ensuring original objectives are met in the appropriate timing    
  •    
  •      Identify and control project risks using the integrated risk management  framework    
  •    
  •      Create and execute project stakeholder management  and communications  plans    
  •    
  •      Manage issues and negotiate conflicts within and across projects    
  •    
  •      Share best practices and provide coaching with informal Project Managers on site    
  •    
  •      Communicate priorities and progress to team on a continuing basis.    
  •    
  •      Facilitate communication between management and non-management.    
  •    
  •      Facilitate team meetings to discuss progress, initiatives, and/or other matters.    
  •    
  •      Lead cross-functional teams to meet strategic goals.    
  •    
  •      Perform factory acceptance tests    
  •    
  •      Coordinate the activities of third party personnel.    
  •    
  •      Manage team's priorities, goals, and resource allocation.    
  •    
  •      Oversee validation activities during the qualification phase of projects.    
  •    
  •      Up to 10% travel may be required – domestic and international.

Requirements

   Essential Requirements  

 
       
  •      4-year degree in Engineering or related discipline    
  •    
  •      5-8 years experience  and demonstrated knowledge in various aspects of Pharmaceutical  Operations, including Manufacturing and Packaging  operations    
  •    
  •      Proven expertise in successfully delivering business-critical projects involving cross­ functional participants, stakeholders and organizations    
  •    
  •      Ability to manage and develop cross- functional teams, plan and execute multiple project tasks, and multiple projects concurrently    
  •    
  •      Demonstrated sound judgement, good business acumen and strong analytical skills    
  •    
  •      Knowledge and understanding  of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)    
  •    
  •      Demonstrated project management  skills    
  •    
  •      Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing and communication  skills    
  •    
  •      Knowledge of and experience with lean concepts and tools    
  •    
  •      Proficient in MS suite of software tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
